David Laing joined the Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. Board in 2016. David is a mining engineer and independent mining executive with global experience. He was formerly Chief Operating Officer for Equinox Gold, True Gold Mining, and COO and EVP of Quintana Resources Capital. David was an original executive of Endeavour Mining, a gold producer in West Africa. He previously held senior positions in mining investment banking and debt advisory at Endeavour Financial, Standard Bank, MRDI, Bema Gold, and various roles at Billiton.

Jorge A. Ganoza co-founded Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. in 2004 and currently serves as our President and CEO and as a Director on our Board. Jorge is an experienced geological engineer who has worked on mineral exploration, mining and business development projects throughout Latin America since 1995. Before founding Fortuna, he worked in business development at senior levels for several private and public Canadian junior mining companies operating in Central and South America. He graduated from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in 1995. Jorge served as director of Ferreycorp from March 2017 to July 2020.
Kylie Dickson joined the Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. Board in 2017. Kylie is a CPA,CA who has worked with companies throughout the mining lifecycle and played a pivotal role in multiple financings and M&A transactions. She was most recently the VP, Business Development at Equinox Gold and, before that, VP, Business Development at Trek Mining. Kylie previously worked as CFO for JDL Gold, Anthem United and Esperanza Resources, and served as the Corporate Controller of Minefinders.

David Farrell joined the Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. Board in 2013. David has over 25 years of corporate and mining experience and founded Davisa Consulting, a private consulting firm working with global mining companies, in 2011. Prior to creating Davisa, he worked at boutique investment banking firm Endeavour Financial and Canadian law firm Stikeman Elliott. As managing director of M&A, David has negotiated, structured, and closed more than US$25 billion worth of M&A and structured financing transactions for natural resource companies. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BComm (Honours, Finance) and an LLB and holds the ICD.D designation from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management and the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Kate Harcourt is a sustainability professional with over 30 years of experience, principally in the mining industry. Kate has worked with a number of mining companies and as a consultant for International Finance Corp. Kate received a BSc Hons, Environmental Science, from Sheffield University and a MSc Environmental Technology, from Imperial College, London, and is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and a Member of the Institution of Environmental Scientists.

Mario Szotlender co-founded Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. in 2004 and currently serves as a Director on our Board. Mario holds a degree in International Relations and is fluent in several languages. He has successfully directed Latin American affairs for numerous private and public companies since 1985, including various mineral exploration and development joint ventures in Central and South America. Previously, he served as President of Rusoro Mining, formerly Mena Resources.

Alfredo Sillau joined the Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. Board in 2016. Alfredo is Managing Partner, CEO and Director of Faro Capital, an investment management firm that manages mutual, private equity and real estate funds. Previously, he headed the business development in Peru for Compass Group, a regional investment management firm, until late 2011. As CEO of Compass, Alfredo actively took part in the structuring, promoting and management of investment funds valued at approximately US$500 million. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School.

Salma Seetaroo joined the Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. Board in 2022. She has spent over 16 years working on debt, equity and special situations investments in Africa as an investment banker. Salma is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Cashew Coast, an integrated cashew business located in Côte d’Ivoire, with two processing factories employing over 1,000 people, primarily women, and supporting approximately 5,000 farmers. She currently sits on the board of GoviEx Uranium Inc., a Canadian mineral resource company, listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, which is focused on the exploration and development of uranium properties in Africa, and is also a member of the Global Advisory Board of the Bayes Business School, City University London, UK, where she earned an Executive MBA. Salma started her career as a City solicitor with the global law firm, Norton Rose Fulbright in London.

Linda Desaulniers was appointed Corporate Counsel to Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. in 2018. Linda has wide-ranging legal experience with a mix of leading Canadian and foreign public companies, primarily in the mining industry. She graduated from the University of East Anglia with LLB (Hons) in 1987 and is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Law Society of England and Wales.
Luis D. Ganoza has held the position of CFO at Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. since 2006. Luis has worked in operations and financial management of mining companies since 2000. Before joining Fortuna, he was the Controller and Treasurer for Minera Atacocha (subsequently acquired by Votorantim Group) one of Peru's largest public mining companies. Luis has a BSc in Mining Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria in Peru, and an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. He also serves as Board Chair for Atico Mining.
Cesar E. Velasco, designated leader for the Fortuna-Roxgold integration, joined Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. in 2018 and held the position of Country Head, Peru until August 2021. A skilled executive with over 22 years of global experience in the mining and manufacturing industry, Cesar has held senior management positions in large private and public multinational companies throughout Latin America, including EXSA, ENAEX-EXSA JV, and Dyno Nobel Latin America. He has a BSc in Marine Biology from the Universidad de Bogota Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Colombia and graduated from an Executive Program for Mergers and Acquisitions from Stanford Graduate School of Business in the U.S. Cesar serves as a member on the boards of the Sociedad Nacional de Minería, Petroleo y Energía and of the International Society of Explosives Engineers.
David Whittle joined Fortuna in July 2021 and held the position of Vice President Operations – West Africa until September 2022. He has more than 30 years of mining operations experience across several commodities and locations including the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Saudi Arabia, and Russia. Since 2019 David has been responsible for the operational performance of the Yaramoko Mine in Burkina Faso where he implemented strategies to lower costs and improve efficiency. He has a BSc in Mining from the University of Staffordshire and a Master of Enterprise degree from Melbourne University.
Paul Weedon is a senior geologist with more than 30 years of international mining industry experience in exploration, development and production in Africa and Australasia. Prior to joining Fortuna Silver Mines Inc., Paul was Exploration Director, Australia, at Newmont Mining. Before that he was Newmont’s Exploration Director, Ghana, for more than five years. Over that period he led the team that discovered the +2 Moz Apensu underground deposit. Paul also held the positions of VP, Business Development, Africa, and Geology Manager, West Africa, with AngloGold Ashanti. He holds a BSc in Geology from Curtin University of Technology in Australia. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG).
Eric Chapman is a geologist with over 20 years of experience. Having joined Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. in 2011 he was appointed VP, Technical Services in 2017. Eric is a certified professional geologist in British Columbia, Canada, and serves as Fortuna´s Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101. Before he joined Fortuna, he was a Senior Consultant for Snowden Mining Industry Consultants working on a variety of mine and exploration projects in Africa and the Americas. Eric has a BSc in Geology from the University of Southampton, and an MSc in Mining Geology from the Camborne School of Mines.
Julien Baudrand has 25 years’ experience in social and environmental management. He spent his first 10 years in the public sector before taking his skills to the mining industry in Africa. Julien has a BSc in Biological Sciences from Université Grenoble in France and holds a MSc in Ecology from Université Aix-Marseille III in France and a MSc Water Sciences from Institut national de recherche scientifique (INRS) in Canada. Julien also studied Forest Engineering at Laval University, and Management at École nationale d'administration publique (ENAP) in Canada.
Carlos Baca joined Fortuna Silver Mines in 2007, and assumed the role of Vice President, Investor Relations in August 2023. Throughout his time with Fortuna, he has been instrumental in positioning the Company across the investment community to ensure fair valuation of its securities, reduce funding costs, strengthen Fortuna's brand, and build strong relationships with the Company's key stakeholders. In parallel with Fortuna's growth, he is responsible for continually enhancing the Company's investor relations strategy, communication, and marketing programs. Carlos brings over 15 years of extensive capital market and investor relations experience and holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, USA.
Neil Colbourne joined Roxgold Sango, the Côte d’Ivoire-based subsidiary of Fortuna Silver Mines, in 2022, and was instrumental in the ramp-up to full production of the Séguéla Mine, leading the team as the General Manager, Operations. He has over 30 years of operational and technical experience in hard rock mining across several jurisdictions, including Australia, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Zambia, Tanzania, and Burkina Faso. Prior to joining Fortuna, Neil was General Manager of the Inata Gold Mine in Burkina Faso – an open pit operation very similar to that of the Séguéla Mine. Neil holds a B.Eng. (Mining) from the Camborne School of Mines, United Kingdom.
Ryan Hairsine is an engineer with over 12-years of international experience in technical and senior roles in the resource industry. Having been with Fortuna-Roxgold since 2015, he was appointed Vice President, Projects in 2023. He recently led the successful construction, on-time, and on-budget, of Fortuna's Séguéla Mine in Côte d'Ivoire. Before joining Fortuna, he was a Design Manager for Mintrex working on a variety of mineral processing and mining infrastructure projects. Ryan has a B.Sc and M.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Queen's University in Canada.
Carlos Manrique has been with Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. since 2010 and has held senior management positions at each of the company’s three mines in the region. He has over 20 years’ experience related to operational, project management and technical services. Carlos graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú with a mining engineering degree and holds a Master of Business Administration with focus on strategic planning from CEMTRUM - PUCP business school. Before joining Fortuna, Carlos held different operational and technical services positions in Volcan Compañía Minera and Pan American Silver.
Armando Nakamura joined Fortuna Silver Mines in 2012, and assumed the role of Vice President, People in August 2023. He has over 20 years of international experience in senior roles leading human resources functions in the mining and banking industries. Armando holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria in Peru, and a Master of Administration and Management Skills from Escuela de Alta Direccion y Administracion EADA in Spain.
Kevin O’Reilly is an accounting and finance professional with over 15 years of experience. Prior to joining Fortuna Silver, Kevin worked at Newmont-Goldcorp for 9 years where he held increasingly senior positions across the organization including finance and accounting, internal audit, operations, and projects. Kevin began his career at Ernst and Young where he worked with a variety of clients in both an assurance and advisory role. Kevin is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
Luiz Camargo joined Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. in 2017 and is the Country Head at Compañía Minera Cuzcatlán S.A. de C.V., the Mexican subsidiary of Fortuna that operates our San Jose Mine in Oaxaca. Prior to that, Luiz was Cuzcatlán's Director of Finance and Corporate Affairs until 2019. He has over 40 years of extensive global experience related to primary industries in mining, steel, cement and paper. Luiz has held senior positions in several multinational companies, including Corporación Moctezuma in Mexico City, and Anglo American plc in London, São Paulo and Luxembourg. He is a public accountant with a degree in Financial Administration from Campos Salles University in Brazil and has a diploma in the Top Management program from IPADE in Mexico. Since 2022, Luiz serves as a member of the Board of the Mexican Mining Chamber.
Rafael Helguero is the Country Head at Minera Bateas S.A.C., the Peruvian subsidiary of Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. that operates our Caylloma Mine in Arequipa. He joined Minera Bateas in 2013 as Administration and Finance Manager and from 2017 to 2018 temporarily served as the Administration and Finance Manager of Mansfield Minera, our Argentinian subsidiary that operates the Lindero Mine in Salta. Rafael has over 20 years’ experience in various management roles in finance, organization and business development, including process improvement, innovation and cultural transformation, in the banking, agribusiness and mining sectors. Rafael holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Piura in Peru and an MBA from RSM Erasmus University in the Netherlands.
Peter McLean is the General Manager, Operations at the Séguéla Mine, which is operated by Roxgold Sango, the Côte d’Ivoire-based subsidiary of Fortuna Silver Mines. Peter joined Roxgold in 2022 as the Mine Manager at Séguéla and has been responsible for the successful startup and development of the mining operations and the mine technical team at that site. He has 40 years of experience in the planning, technical support and operation of open pit mines across several jurisdictions, including Oceana, south-east Asia, Africa and South America. His experience spans several mineral commodities including coal, diamonds, nickel, mineral sands, iron ore, copper and gold. Peter holds a bachelor degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Management from the Deakin University in Australia.
Nick Riches is the General Manager Operations at Roxgold Sanu, the Burkinabe subsidiary of Fortuna Silver Mines that operates the Yaramoko Mine in Burkina Faso. He joined Roxgold Sanu in 2018 as Processing Manager and was promoted into his current position of General Manager Operations, Burkina Faso, in 2021. Nick has over 35 years' operating experience in Africa, Australia, and central Asia, with a focus on management, operational start-up, and process plant optimisation in multiple minerals. Nick holds a degree in Mineral Process Engineering from the Camborne School of Mines, United Kingdom, and a master's degree in environmental technology from Imperial College, United Kingdom.
